Camelot
farms
is located on 170 acres in the
beautiful
hills of West
Knoxville,
TN.
We are dedicated to providing the best
training and breeding programs for
high quality
sport horses at many
different
disciplines. Camelot
started out strictly
as a
boarding and polo facility that
housed polo ponies and hosted many
matches throughout the year. After foxhunting with the
Tennessee Valley Hunt Club, we
soon purchased our first
foxhunters. This
got us
interested in hunter jumper and dressage disciplines. Our
training progressed with many
different
trainers across the southeast, such as Chris Irwin.
Now we are currently training and breeding top quality Trakehners and registered
FHANA Friesians. All of
our Friesians are registered with the Friesian Horse Association
of North
America, which
recognizes the FPS as the European mother
studbook of the Friesian horse.

Camelot
is still the home of the Sassafras
Polo
Club where several matches are hosted
throughout the summer. We welcome all
levels of riders to come
join us for polo practice on Wednesdays and Fridays
held
during the season, and welcome all interested viewers to come
watch our
matches on Sunday. For more information please email us at

Why our horses
are the best. We
our small breeders who care about the quality of our foals.
Because we are
small breeders, we can be sure to provide the proper handling and
attention to every foal that we breed. All of our foals
receive training and constant human
interaction throughout their early years, so they will grow to be
healthy
trustworthy horses. Sending
our horses out
into the world prepared for any discipline,
assures us that we have done
all we can to give that horse and owner a wonderful life together.
Camelot can
set you up in a training
program for just
about any
discipline
you desire, Polo, Foxhunting, Cross Country, Hunter Jumper,
Dressage, Saddle Seat, and Driving. You let us know how we
can help
provide you with your perfect equine partner.
"'Only if we
listen to our partner the horse...only if we try to achieve with
feel and not force will we discover a certain degree of the
secret. For me this secret is the magical connection.'"
(Dietrich von
Hopffgarten, Tao of Equus)
